British Waterways Wales & Border Counties (BWWBC) said the canal was temporarily closed between bridges eight and nine at Hindford. "We are working towards re-opening the stretch quickly to minimise disruption - hopefully by tomorrow." Boaters travelling from the Llangollen direction should PLUG VALVES turn at Lion Quays and boaters travelling toward Llangollen should turn at Frankton Junction.
